One of my other goals has been to cook better. So while it’s not a standard book review, I figured I wanted to share this since I really enjoyed it. Here are some thoughts on Culinary Intelligence by Peter Kaminsky.
One of the biggest problems I’ve had with reading about eating healthier is that it all seems so bland and boring. What I really like about this is the idea of making the most out of what you are eating. I would think it’s a lot easier to eat well when you are really enjoying the food. There are some tips (including the idea that everyone once in awhile it’s okay to bend the rules for something really special) that make cooking and eating healthier all sound more manageable.
It was also interesting to learn more about flavors and food. I am by no means an expert when it comes to cooking so I really learned a lot. Overall it was a really great read that I would recommend.
